Wildflower

Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do.

Wildflower, was not your usual young girl. She was born and raised in a cabin in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina. Her parents liked living up in the mountains so that they could be free to do whatever they wanted.

As she grew, she learned much about the ways of living in the woods. Shoes were not a requirement and running barefoot was the best way to get around.

Her friends were the forest animals and she had her own special names for each one. When she was thirsty, she drank from the creek just down the hill from her log cabin house. There were always wild berries to eat along the way on her daily adventures.
Wildflower looked exactly like her name. Each day she would pick wildflowers and weave them into a crown to wear upon her golden locks. She was beautiful in every way imaginable.

It was hard for her parents to let her go to school, but the law was the law and her daddy didn't want to get arrested. So, Wildflower went to school and was educated by some of the finest teachers. Despite all the education, she refused to be anything but herself. When people asked why she was the way she was...she would start singing this little song...
mmm yeaahh yeaeaa yeaaa
i was born off an old dirt road 40 acre farm no highway no interstate
& i drive an old rusted out Chevrolet, the boys all rubber neck while their out makin hay.
hey i'm a wildflower. growing in the sunshine, soaking up the way of life i was raised in, running barefoot blooming in a summer shower, ponytail dancing, i cant help it...i'm a wildflower.

hey i'm a wildflower. growing in the sunshine, soaking up the way of life i was raised in, running barefoot blooming in a summer shower, ponytail dancing, i cant help it...i'm a wildflower.

Years passed and Wildflower never left her home in the mountains. Her parents eventually passed away and left the log cabin and all of their belongings to her. Others judged her and often wondered why she liked living by herself in the mountains. Wildflower always answered by saying, "There are very few places left in the world that are your own. Places that are untouched by others and peaceful. My mountain is such a place. A place that brings me peace inside. A place where I can be me and enjoy the beauty of the WILDFLOWERS."
